Recently I have been doing some work with a number of school and a few interesting sites have come across my inbox that are worth a mention.
Multiple Intelligences
The first site allows users to conduct Multiple Intelligences online and provides an interesting tool that may help with developing a picture of students within your class or the teaching staff. The address for the website is: http://www2.bgfl.org/bgfl2/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks3/ict/multiple_int/index.htm
My results for the test can be found using the following code: x6fkk8gzl3589jw
I think it is fairly close although some areas are a little better than I would have expected.
What the site lacks is the ability to link directly from the results page to the different components of MI - it would be good to have a little more flexibility in the design of the site - more Web 2.0 like.
I am interested to hear from others how and where they would use this online tool within education as the site does not have any real suggestion of real stories about applications based on site results- post your comments below.
CreataGraph
The next site is a CreataGraph page - where students can create a range of graphs for different needs and data collection activities. This site also has a good information tutorial about building graphs - when you build your graph it will stay available online for up to a month which is pretty good.
The site link is: http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/
It would be good to hear if anyone has used the program in class or other work environments - it would also be good to hear if teachers have used the program with Interactive Whiteboards (IWB). Leave your comments and ideas - lets share out thinking, playing and learning.
